Radix releases UA readiness study of e-commerce platforms to gauge universal acceptance for new TLDs

Radix has released a new Universal Acceptance (UA) readiness study evaluating how well e-commerce platforms support modern domain formats. The study, which tested 145 platforms across 16 categories, examined the acceptance of new short and long top-level domains (TLDs) like .uno and .online, respectively, as well as Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), during standard sign-up workflows.

The findings show strong support for new TLDs, with a combined acceptance rate of 98.6%. However, IDN-based email addresses had a lower acceptance rate of only 39.31%. Radix has shared the results with platform owners to help close the gap and improve compatibility for all domain types, reinforcing the industry’s broader Universal Acceptance goals.
